"We wanted everything to be over-the-top gorgeous without being over the top, and certainly not ostentatious,” Mary Nelson explains. “I was very adamant about not having anything look formulaic. I wanted the spaces to feel comfortable while still embracing the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley that were surrounding us."
