Bridal Fashion Week

New York’s Bridal Fashion Week this year was certainly one to remember. Vera Wang once again pushed the boundaries of bridal fashion with her Hotel Madrid collection – think oh so sheer, exquisite lace detailing, and “nonchalant sexuality.” Romona Keveza unveiled a collection of stunning pastel ball gowns inspired by spring’s blooming flowers, perfect for an early summer wedding in the garden (pictured below). And Marchesa, known for their intricate and feminine detailing, showed a beautiful collection full of floral appliques, their signature layers of tulle, and airy lace cap-sleeves for the Duchess Kate in all of us.

Personally, I am loving the unexpected use of ostrich feathers paired with delicate tulle and lace that we saw in a number of collections, most notably in Lela Rose’s one-shoulder “The Dusk.”

And we know that not all brides want a strapless gown for their wedding day, so it was a pleasure to see so many wedding gowns with dropped shoulders, full-sleeves, cap-sleeves, and everything in between.  Seen below at Badgley Mischka and Anne Barge.

Thank you to Weddington Way who provided us with some great behind the scene images on what to expect next wedding season. Weddington Way is an online boutique that aims to connect the modern bride with her bridesmaids by offering an extensive collection of bridesmaid dresses!

Looking forward to seeing some of these dresses on our brides this wedding season!
