One of our fabulous LHE Collective weddings(!) was this lovely affair that took place at 620 Loft & Garden, overlooking Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.  Both the bride and groom were from Austin, TX so this was truly a destination affair, infused with all the wonderful flavor of New York.

As New York was going to be centerpiece of the wedding, the bride and groom decided to make sure every element of the day had nods, both large and small, to the city.  The bride, a talented graphic designer, designed her save-the-dates with a portrait of the happy couple inspired by the iconic Charles C. Ebbetts photograph “Lunch Atop a Skyscraper.”  The invitations (and indeed all the paper goods) were again designed by the bride and she even made the save-the-date envelopes by hand!  She also created a monogram that was used on all the invitations, gift bag tags, and menus.

The couple chose a bold color palette for their day: purples, bright pinks, and pops of chartreuse.  The florals really complimented the room; their bright colors a beautiful foil against the gray linens and white walls.  The cake was designed by Ron Ben-Israel, who thrilled the bride by working with her to create a cake whose design was based on the watercolor flowers from the invitations. The lovely decor was by Matthew Robbins Design.

All in all, it was a gorgeous day, the guests had fun, and the bride and groom were elated!
