For decades, J. Crew usually represented the East Coast prepster: stripes, khaki, and braided belts. However, the J. Crew of recent is herringbone with a dash of metallic, motocross jackets, and aligning themselves with other brands like Diptyque and Cosabella. They continued to break ground with their Spring campaign, that was shot throughout iconic Hollywood. The images are a cross between retro 1960s glam: red lips and Jackie O style up-do’s, with 1970s fashion essentials: western shirts and macramé. Love the clothes, love the images, and love the juxtaposition of casual elegance. Perfection–yet again.
